Thank you for visiting my website. Here, you’ll find all the latest on my novels, plays, and improv shows.
A little about me:
I was born during a blizzard. I grew up in two tiny towns in Virginia and spent most of my twenties moving around the US. I’ve lived in Virginia, Florida, Missouri, Washington, and North Carolina. I’ve settled down, for now, in New York City.
I’m a writer and an improviser. I studied acting in college but spent more time rewriting lines than memorizing them. My first play, Fourth Wall, was produced my junior year. Since then, I’ve written several full length plays, one acts, and screenplays. I started writing fiction in my late twenties.
My young adult fantasy series is published through Fire and Ice YA Publishing. My short fiction has appeared in numerous publications including Daily Science Fiction, Kaaterskill Basin Literary Journal, Twisted Sister Literary Magazine, and Theaker’s Quarterly. My plays have received readings from Seattle to New York and several productions including at Cary Playwrights Forum, Sonorous Road Theater, and Hot Metal Arts Collective.
I’m currently studying improv at UCB in New York. In the past, I’ve performed with The Last Unicorns, Main Squeeze, and The Gathering.
I received a BFA from Longwood University and a Film Certificate from Seattle Film Institute. I’ve studied playwriting at The Barrow Group and HB Studio. I’m a former member of the Cary Playwrights Forum, The DC Playwrights Forum, and the Virginia Screenwriters Forum.
I also love chocolate, cheese, running, club soda, and my husband – not necessarily in that order.
